MicronNexus GmbH, part of the worldwide leading tourism company TUI Travel PLC, is specialised in IT- and Car Hire-Solutions.
Because of its E-tailored car hire solution, MicronNexus is the leading provider of interfaces for local and international car hire. Next to its international B2B-customers within the field of travel organising, airlines and online travel agencies (OTAs), MicronNexus is operating its own B2C price comparison website in many countries. Mietwagenmarkt.de is one of them and has been successfully established within the German market since 2000.

History
| 1999 | MicronNexus was founded in 1999 by Stefan Siebenberg as an IT consulting and IT service company with the head office in Hamburg. The company got Microsoft Certified Partner with excellent qualifications and connections to hard- and software-provider. Micronnexus was able to build close relationships to its customers and partners in short space of time. |
| 2000 | Only one year later MicronNexus launched the successful price comparison Website www.mietwagenmarkt.de as an E-commerce reference project. It got the leading German Carhire price comparison portal rapid. At the same time MicronNexus started to offer B2B-Carhire-Solutions to business partners. |
| 2001 | Launch of interfaces with the “big 5” of the leading car hire supplier and some local companies. |
| 2002 | The leading German trust seal recommends booking on www.mietwagenmarkt.de. |
| 2005 | Launch of the English domain www.carhiremarket.com. The B2C interface is now available in 9 languages now, including French, Spanish and Italian. |
| 2006 | Relaunch of the German Website and Launch of 3 additional languages. Relaunch of the Whitelabel Solution Launch of OTA interface |
| 2007 | B2C relaunch of www.carhiremarket.com MicronNexus was integrated into TUI Travel PLC and is now the IT-partner for different TUI subsidiaries and responsible for the technical aspects and contracting for the business division “Car Hire” worldwide. |
